Before any code gets written, you can talk your idea through with a Business team led by a persona named Vera, and walk away with an actual plan and a clickable mockup of your app.
Meet Vera
Vera opens the conversation on every new project. Instead of asking you to write a detailed spec up front, she asks a handful of clarifying questions about the idea itself: what it does, what kind of data it needs to keep track of, how the pieces relate to each other.
The exact questions depend on the project. If you were building something like a recipe collection app, for example, Vera might ask what you want to store for each recipe and how you want to organize or tag them. A different idea gets a different conversation, shaped around what that project actually needs.
From conversation to a real plan
Vera does not work alone. Once she has enough context from your conversation, two teammates turn it into something concrete.
Nora, the Business Analyst, works out the details behind the idea: how the pieces fit together and what the underlying plan should cover.
Remy, the Mockup Designer, builds a real mockup of the app: actual clickable screens you can click through, not a written description of what the screens might look like.
By the time this stage is done, you are not looking at a bullet list of requirements. You are looking at something that resembles the app you asked for, and you can react to it before a single line of code exists.
Handing off to build
Once the plan and mockup feel right, you hand the project off to Mara, who leads the IT team. Mara’s team, Iris, Theo, Eli, Nia and Kai, picks up everything the Business team put together and builds the working app from it.
This hand-off is the point where planning turns into building. The IT team is not starting from a blank page. It starts from a brief that already reflects the thinking you did with Vera, Nora and Remy.

Not every idea needs a planning conversation. If you already know exactly what you want to build, you can skip Vera entirely and start directly with Mara. In that case, Mara begins from an empty conversation, with no assumptions carried over, and builds from your description directly.
Both paths are available on every project. Which one you take depends on how much shaping your idea still needs.

Do I need a spec to start?
No. You talk to Vera in plain language, and she asks the questions a spec would otherwise have to answer: what the app does, what it needs to remember, how the pieces relate. You do not open a blank document first.
What if I don’t know what I want yet?
That’s what the conversation is for. Vera’s questions are built to surface the shape of an idea you haven’t fully worked out. You don’t need a finished picture in your head before you start talking. Why this matters
